Bedford Group for Lifecourse and Statistical Studies
WBL is one of five research centres that make up the Bedford Group for Lifecourse and Statistical Studies (BG), one of the IOE's schools. BG currently comprises five research centres that share an interest in the creation and analysis of longitudinal and multilevel data which is applied to a wide range of topics in the education, social and health sciences.

Centre for Longitudinal Studies
The Centre for Longitudinal Studies (CLS) is one of BG's research centres. CLS is an ESRC Resource Centre that provides support and facilities for those using the three internationally-renowned birth cohort studies: the National Child Development Study (1958), the 1970 British Cohort Study and the Millennium Cohort Study (2000).

Centre for the Economics of Education
The Centre for Economics of Education (CEE) (IOE branch) is one of BG's research centres. CEE is a DCSF-funded partnership between the Centre for Economic Performance at LSE, the Bedford Group for Lifecourse and Statistical Studies at the IOE and the Institute for Fiscal Studies. It was set up to undertake systematic and innovative research in the field of the economics of education.

National Research and Development Centre for Adult Literacy and Numeracy
The National Research and Development Centre for Adult Literacy and Numeracy (NRDC) is one of BG's research centres. NRDC is a consortium of partners dedicated to conducting research and development projects into adult literacy, numeracy, ESOL and ICT.
