UK Birth Cohort Studies
Some of the WBL projects use longitudinal data from the UK Birth Cohort Studies housed in the Centre for Longitudinal Studies (CLS), a sister-centre housed in the Bedford Group for Lifecourse and Statistical Studies at the Institute of Education.
CLS is an ESRC Resource Centre and is responsible for three longitudinal studies – the 1958 National Child Development Study, the 1970 British Cohort Study and the Millennium Cohort Study.
WBL research also uses data from the Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children, which is based at the University of Bristol.
